Steiff teddy bear is a soft bear toy which was called as a teddy bear in the start, but now, steiff is innovatively working to produce unique teddy bears “Steiff Teddy Bears”.
Teddy bears are an adaptation of real lively bears. In contemporary times, the bear is well thought out a symbol of power, bravery, courage, survival and endurance. As bears share many characteristics with humans, including the abilities to stand upright and to hug, and they also ferociously protect their cubs, teddy bears also symbolize them. Psychologists explain our association with the teddy bears. According to them, we develop love and affection for teddy bears as for our family members. Simple teddy bears are usually stuffed with soft cotton and have silky and soft fur. People develop affection and keep them close especially they keep them in the bed.
Steiff teddy bear have a purpose to entertain children. It was somewhat common for American children in the past but now, every country like it. Now, teddy bears come in various styles and people can dress them up in many different styles of clothing. Teddy bears are one of the best gifts and most popular gifts for children. People nowadays, like to gift them on Valentine’s Day and other holidays. Everybody likes to gift them to their loved ones.
Margarete Steiff from Germany added a soft plush bear to the “Steiff Collection” and sold 3,000 steiff teddy bears to America in 1903. Steiff got an inspiration from Richard Stieff who encouraged her to make a bear based on his sketches. Steiff was afraid to make a toy bear and softened the bear’s snout into a friendly, pert nose and a slightly hunched back like a real bear. At a toy show in Germany, Richard showed the bear, which caught the attention of an American toy buyer who ordered 3,000 bears. Steiff teddy bears had hump backs, long snouts, large tapered feet and elongated arms with curved paws. America also made some extraordinary unique bears during this period. But steiff teddy bears created fresher and unique work than others. They also developed more designs that were different from the original. So, they started to produce hundreds and thousands of steiff teddy bears everyday in the steiff factory in Germany. Today, Steiff Company manufactures a large variety of soft toys and they include teddy bears as well. The range of steiff teddy bears contains white and yellow tag bears.
Steiff teddy bears gave a tough competition to “Laughing Roosevelt Bear” which opens its mouth to display large teeth and red white and blue “Patriotic Bear” with electric light bulb eyes.
Fabric cutters, assemblers, stuffing machine operators, bear surgeons, groomers, and dressers all share great pride in knowing their product will give and receive much love all around the world. A Steiff teddy bear needs a great care and attention throughout the manufacturing process.
